In the absence of compatibility studies, this medicinal product must not be mixed with other medicinal products. It also performs functions, e.g. in the skin, muscles, skeleton, kidney, liver, bone marrow, and CNS. Testosterone has been subject to abuse, typically at doses higher than recommended for the approved indication(s) and in combination with other anabolic androgenic steroids.

NEBIDO is a formulation of testosterone undecanoate, a long-acting ester of testosterone. This ester modification allows for a slow and steady release of testosterone into the bloodstream over an extended period, typically weeks after injection. Nebido should be permanently withdrawn if symptoms of excessive androgen exposure persist or reappear during treatment with the recommended dosageregimen. Treatment with high-dose testosterone preparations often interrupts or reduces sperm production. Treatment with high-dose testosterone preparations may temporarily stop or reduce sperm production (see also “Possible side effects”).

If the level is too low, your doctor may decide to give you injections more often. If your testosterone levels are high, your doctor may decide to give you injections less often. Nebido 1000mg/4 ml contraindications

• Special care will be taken to avoid injection into a blood vessel (see “Administration”).
• Care should be taken to inject Nebido deeply into the gluteal muscle following the usual precautions for intramuscular administration.
• Treatment is usually supportive, e.g. by administration of supplemental oxygen.
• The use of Nebido is contraindicated in men with past or present liver tumours (see section 4.3).
